Summary of Capabilities

  • Experience in developing web applications in Perl, PHP, and ColdFusion utilizing libraries and frameworks such as PEAR, CodeIgniter, Zend Framework, and CakePHP.
  • Experience with Drupal Content Management System versions 5.x and 6.x. Including installation, custom theme development, and custom module development.
  • Extensive knowledge of mark up languages and formats such as HTML, CSS, XML, and XSLT. 
  • Experience with various Javascript Frameworks and Libraries such as YUI, jQuery, mooTools, and prototype.

Web Programmer – Library Services
Rowan University, Library Services, Glassboro, NJ

Responsibilities include redesigning and implementing a website with the Drupal Content Management system.  This project included the use of the Content Construction Kit, Views, and Panels modules to build a rich and dynamic website which includes electronic resources, news and announcements, news, and events.

Other responsibilities include deploying a beta release of the VUFind information discovery portal for library catalogs.  This included extending interface drivers using PHP and Oracle SQL to customize search results. 

Other duties associated with Drupal and VUFind development includes custom interface design using CSS and Javascript frameworks such as YUI and jQuery.

Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining new and existing web development projects for both academic and non-academic offices.  Integration of web based applications with enterprise data services such as Sungard SCT Banner family of products. Project management duties include design, development, testing, and maintenance of software in a team based work environment.  Development of software using the following technologies: Oracle, PL/SQL, MySQL, LDAP directory services, Perl, PHP, ColdFusion, JavaScript, XML, HTML, and shell scripting. 

Other responsibilities have included:

  • Overseeing tasks accomplished by various part-time and student worker help.
  • Administration of WebCT web based Course management system.
  • Integration of WebCT with student information systems.
  • Providing end user support and training on various applications developed by Web Services.
  • Data conversion of legacy application data to new enterprise databases.
